Conrad Kiffin
Conrad has been competing and coaching in multisport for 17
years. What he didn't learn riding bikes on the streets of Brooklyn
he learned from riding and training with elite triathletes and
cyclists. He competes in long distance duathlons and has completed
two
marathons. He brings this experience to his role as ride leader for
the BTC's Saturday rides. Conrad is a strong advocate of teaching
bike handling skills, and has helped riders of all skill levels feel
more comfortable on their bikes, from helping the wary to learn how
to drink while riding to teaching experienced triathletes pacelining
skills. Conrad has coached runners and cyclists for 5 years. In his
"real life" he is a commercial photographer whose work can be seen
here.
John Stewart
John is a USA Triathlon Certified Level II Triathlon Coach
and ACE Certified Personal Trainer. He has completed triathlons of
every distance, from sprint to iron-distance (ask him about the
now-defunct Ironman Utah). He has been a full-time coach for five years
and his training company,
Race Day Professional Coaching, provides training programs and
coached training programs for groups and individuals. He is perhaps
best known as the swim coach for the Berkeley Carroll Masters,
though he can also be found in Prospect Park Thursday nights
coaching the BTC's bricks. John also coaches for Team In
Training, conducts private swim instruction, and teaches strength
training classes. In his free time John competes in strange
endurance events like 24 hour mountain bike races and the Texas Time
Trials.

injuries and became a member of BTC. His first tri ever was the
Wildflower Olympic Distance race in 90 degree heat on a

Jose Alzorriz
A native of Basque Country, Jose has lived
in New York since 1993. A couch potato until he was 33 (and 20-25 pounds heavier) he started running in 1999 and gradually progressed to duathlons and triathlons, both for the challenge and also to minimize running injuries.
Since then he has completed 8 marathons (including completing the Sahara Marathon
in Africa, multiple duathlons, Aquathlons, sprint and Olympic triathlons,
3 half-Ironman and two Survival of the Shawangunks races. A member of the BTC since
its founding as well as a proud member of the running club
New York Harriers, Jose lives in Park Slope with his wife and
fellow BTC member Cristina and doggy Argi. In his ‘other’ live,
