Catskills Training Camp

Imagine a weekend of breakthrough workouts: riding through hilly countryside, running on mountain trails, and getting individualized attention for your swim stroke. Sound like your fantasy weekend? Then reserve the weekend of August 1-3rd for the BTC's second Catskills Training Camp of the season. The weekend, led by USAT Certified Triathlon Coach John Stewart will feature a swim Friday afternoon, a long ride on Saturday, and a long run on Sunday. John will be joined by USAT coach Lee Gardner. We've scouted some amazing routes around our location near Woodstock, NY. Along with all this training you'll get 2 educational workshops, meals, and a movie night. This weekend is for multisport athletes of all levels. Beginners are welcome! There will be short and long options on the bike and run.

Itinerary*

Friday
7am-12PM Travel to camp (takes 3 hours plus traffic)
12PM Base Camp Opens, Orientation
2-4PM Bike Ride (Skills + Time Trial)
5:30PM Dinner
6:30 PM Depart for swim
7:15PM Swimming Video Taping at Bard
Sunday
9am Open Water Swimming at Belleayre Lake
10am Options: 3-6 mile run at lake, or brick from base camp
1PM Pancake Brunch/ Lecture on Race Fueling w/ Lee Gardner
3PM Camp ends

Saturday

7am Bike (several lengths to choose from)
11am-2PM Lunch, review swim tapes
2:15PM Depart for swim
3PM Masters swim (in pool)
6:30PM Dinner
7:30PM Bike Maintenance w/ The Bike Whisperer (John Ficarra)
9PM Movie!

Lodging
Space at the base house is full. But there are several reasonably priced lodging options in the area, as well as more luxurious accommodations. You can also camp just down the road a half mile at Kenneth Wilson State Park.
