Club Bike Box
BTC
members have the privilege of using the club bike box for travel.
The box holds one bicycle and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. It can be
reserved only by emailing
Tony Claudino.
Reservations will be posted on the club
calendar. Please do not post inquiries on the Yahoo Groups
listserv. Though the club does not currently require a deposit to
use the box, you are responsible for any damage incurred during your
use of the box.Tips for flying with a bike

Check with your airline before departure-each airline has
its own rules about the cost of bike case, and charges can vary from
$60 to $120 each way.
- Weigh your case with the bike in it before you leave home.
Save excess weight by putting pedals and seat in your personal
suitcase.
- You may need a pedal wrench to remove your pedals when
packing the bike.
- Don't put air cartridges in the bike case for air travel.
- Deflate your tires to about half pressure so they don't
rupture in the air.
